France: Freedom of Conscience and Freedom of Expression – Joint report to the UPR 29th session

The WEA jointly with the National Council of Evangelicals of France (Cnef) and the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA), submitted a report to the 29th session of the Universal Periodic Review, on freedom of conscience and freedom of expression in France. We called on the Governement of France to preserve conscientious objection in areas such as medical care and in matrimonial institutions, to enhance protection of places of worship against anti-religious violence or other attacks, and to protect religious freedom of asylum seekers and religious freedom in workplaces, schools and education.
