The World Evangelical Alliance, including its Women’s Commission, urged the UN Human Rights Council to condemn the restrictions imposed to women under the “Law on propagation of virtue and prevention of vice”, and strongly urged the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to restore the fundamental human rights of women in Afghanistan.
The video statement was submitted to the Human Rights Council 58th session, in the context of the Interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan, on 28 February 2025.
