WEA encourages the High Commissioner for Human Rights to keep monitoring closely religious minorities in situations of conflict

The World Evangelical Alliance encouraged the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and relevant special procedures to keep monitoring closely the situation of religious minorities in situations of conflict. In its statement, the WEA also addressed situations in Afghanistan, Sudan, and Nigeria, where religious communities fear for their lives and are forced to flee their homes.

The oral statement was made at the Human Rights Council 57th session, during the General debate on the oral update by the High Commissioner for Human Rights, on September 11, 2024.
