At the Human Rights Council 46th Session, during Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on minority issues regarding report on hate speech, social media and minorities, the World Evangelical Alliance made a statement providing examples of hate speech being used as a tool to target religious minorities in India and Sri Lanka. We urged governments and elected officials to be the role models for inclusion and embrace of their minorities, in word and deed, and on their social media accounts.
