Bolivia: Freedom of Religion or Belief – Report to the UPR 48th Session

On 12 July 2024, the Observatory of Religious Freedom in Latin America (OLIRE), the International Institute for Religious Freedom (IIRF), the National Association of Evangelicals of Bolivia (ANDEB), and the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) submitted a joint report to the Human Rights Council ahead of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the Plurinational State of Bolivia scheduled for January 2025 during the UPR 48th session.

Our joint submission reported on the right to freedom of religion or belief in Bolivia, specifically with regards to religious freedom of indigenous communities, registration of religious entities, conscientious objection to military service, and other issues.
